anyone know any remedy for cold sores?

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullai wa Barakatuhu,

Every winter I have a tendency of getting cold sores both on my hands and my feet...
I keep them well moisturised, but this still this happens... hmmm...

Anyone know any remedies??

That also reminds me, the sun feels so wonderful in winter...that automatically one ends up saying Alhamdolillah...
Just imagine a winter without sun... it would be just terrible.....

I got this from the net for you Moon, maybe worth a try inshaAllah.

If you find no relief , i can send you a great little tube of cream from the UK ,works a treat inshaallah.Use Ice
Ice is a very good home remedy for cold sores. Rub ice on the infected skin for few minutes, repeat this every hour.

Use Tea Bag
Apply a tea bag for few minutes on the blisters, repeat this every hour. One can also consider pressing a warm tea bag on the blisters for approximately 30 minutes.

Other Remedies
Applying Witch Hazel on sores will give you some relief. Dip your moist index finger in powdered common salt and press the sore for 30 seconds using this index finger. Gently rub aloe vera gel or oil on the sores. Lemon balm extract helps to reduce symptoms and speeds up healing. Those having weak immune system will take more time to recover and may face more severe consequences.

Owww. How wonderful it is to feel the nourishing wintersun shining. You know that there are certain areas up north in Scandinavian countries, and probably other countries up north as well, where you will not see the sun at ALL for months!!!
